Moroccan Chicken Tagine

Recipe Name: Moroccan Chicken Tagine

    Ingredients:**
    • 2 lbs chicken breast
    • 4 cloves garlic minced
    • 2 tsp minced ginger
    • 1/2 red onion minced
    • season with sea salt, cinnamon,turmeric
    • 1/4 cup olive oil
    • 3/4 - 1 cup water or bone broth
    • handful of pitted dates, dried apricots, or golden raisins
    • chopped walnuts or almonds
    • Chopped Italian parsley or cilantro to garnish
  • Instructions:
    • Kids Prep: Tenderize the chicken, pit the dates, break apart the walnuts, season meat, chop herbs with butter knife
    • Adult Prep: Chop the onion, garlic, ginger. Sauté seasoned chicken on high heat in olive oil to crisp both sides. Add in garlic, onion, and ginger for the last minute or two. Pour in bone broth or water and add in dried fruit. Simmer for another 35 minutes flipping meat once or twice. Add liquid if necessary. Should have 1/2 inch liquid in pan at all times. Serve with nuts and herb garnish.
