Wine Recs - Costco Values

Costco is my favorite chain retailer to buy wine from. Why? Because the quality to price ratio just can’t be beat.

Pinot Noir from CA - Cab blend from Bordeaux - Gamay Noir from Beaujolais

These wines are all $12-13 but frankly drink like they are $15-20. All are value driven and are smooth, medium bodied, food friendly reds. When I’m selecting value wines, the more specific the wine region the better! For instance, instead of the label above saying Pinot Noir from ‘California’ which means grapes can be sourced from anywhere in the state, the label says ‘Mendocino’. I know that Mendocino is located in the northern part of the wine growing area and has a cooler climate so these reds will be softer and more delicate on the palate. Likewise, ‘Moulis en Medoc’ and ‘Saint Amour’ are more specific areas of Bordeaux and Beaujolais. Great value for the money at Costco!
